Damn those pics look good and I can't wait to get one (waiting for Leopard). What's your experience been like with the glossy screen? Notice any difference when dealing with glare and what not? Congrats on the purchase!

It matches your desk/surroundings perfectly! The white design looks better in kitchens, but the black & silver looks better in offices. I look forward to getting mine in a week or so. Thanks for posting the pics.

None whatsoever when the screen is active... you really have to go to an off angle before you can even tell the screen is glossy... probably about 50 degrees from center. With the screen off it is quite glossy, though. I can only really see this being an issue in near-direct sunlight.

Yeah I hear ya. I made the mistake of getting the glossy screen on my Dell Inspiron and that's not fun with a laptop, but I can see it being a non-issue with a desktop (in most cases).

At my store there were none on display yet. I had to half-argue with the salesperson to get one. I also picked up the new Airport Extreme Base Station to replace an old Linksys router.

Why did you need to replace your old router with such a new and expensive one. Are the new iMacs not compatible?

Because the airport router and the new iMac both support 802.11n, which quadruples my wireless bandwidth. I stream movies and television from my MythTV box in the living room, so this ought to be just the ticket for completely removing the television from my bedroom.

The iMac is ok but I am more impressed with the new .Mac Web Gallery. I can't believe that that's a web 2.0 app. It behaves just like an Apple app.
