Hi,

I have a secondhand iPhone 3GS that was previously jailbroken. I accidentally updated my iPhone software to the ios 6.0.1, and now my phone is bricked.

I have absolutely no idea about the previous jailbreak and thus am at a loss.

Is there a way for me to unbrick my phone?

Thank you.

it's not bricked,

there are 2 running threads in the first 10 postings, check those out it will give you an idea where to go

Sorry to bother - I tried to restore my phone using a custom firmware file, but I get the error 3194 on it.

Previously I have tried to restore my phone before, but I had to bring it to a gadget store to get it fixed.

My phone was first unlocked in China by the previous owner, is there a way that I can restore the phone?

I'm trying to restore to the following file: iPhone2,1_5.1.1_9B206_Restore.ipsw.crdownload

And no, I do not have those.

Error 3194
Occurs when trying to install an old firmware and Apple's server disallows the installation. The only solution is to have the SHSH blob backed up and modify the hosts file to point to Saurik's Cydia Server where they are backed up (or localhost if you have it yourself).

You can also force an update to the latest version of ios 6.0.1 using DFU method and from there you can have a tethered JB using Redsnow.

If you don't have the SHSH for 5.1.1 you can't restore/downgrade to it.
Was the phone jailbroken before?

Why you call it bricked? what is the exact problem?

How can I fix my iphone 3gs?

My iphone 3gs is bricked and its on the newest ios 6.0.1 with the Ipad baseband 6.15.0. I keep getting error -1 in itunes when I try a restore, and I have the old bootrom. How do I fix this?
