I've heard the new unc0ver 5 is supposed to jailbreak iOS 12.4.7, anybody tried it yet? What's working and what's not working?
https://www.unc0ver.dev
"unc0ver supports iOS 11.0 through to iOS 13.5 (Excluding 12.3-12.3.2 and 12.4.2-12.4.5)"

for those doesn't have apple paid developer account (needed for cydia impactor), using Xcode with free apple developer works very well with no issues for me.

I dont have a mac to do this with tho
I had to use altstore

but the app installed fine anyway, that is not my problem

This is a screenshot of what I get:

Cydia Impactor didn't work, so I installed unc0ver-v5.0.0.ipa with AltDeploy https://github.com/pixelomer/AltDeploy/
but unc0ver shows the same Unsupported message on an iPhone 6 with iOS 12.4.7.
We will probably have to wait for v5.0.1 or later.

I hope they fix this otherwise this iphone is going back to storage bins in my attic

Meanwhile I contacted the devs at unc0ver for this, let's wait for their reply I guess

Yes but is still jailbreak
Uncover is not working with 12.4.7 I've tried
So did we, since Sunday. But I prefer a jailbreak solution that doesn't require to connect my iPhone to a computer every time I reboot it.

Agreed, went the same route but having to reapply jailbreak everytime isn't the part of the experience I wanted to remember from the old days

Just a clarification. You do not need to connect iphone to a computer after reboot. It would work fine in a non jailbroken state.

The reason I am clarifying is because i thought a few days back that i would computer just to reboot. But thats not the case.

Yes, it was nicely explained in the page I posted above:
Checkra1n is a “semi-tethered” jailbreak, meaning that each and every time the device is rebooted, or turned off and back on, it needs to be connected to a computer in order for it to get back into a jailbroken state. It’s worth noting that it can still be used as a normal “non-jailbroken” device.
