Hi there,
Anyone care to advise for a slick, under the desk mount for the Mac Pro (2019)? I have a standing desk that stretches the cables beyond possible if I leave it on the floor, so suspending the tower under the desk is my only option.

Has anyone done it?

I don't know how slick you'd find it (it's certainly retro-industrial), but the method I came up with to DIY it on a cMP would probably work.

I loved your solution, but I’m looking for something pre-built; quick to order and install.

The Areca Thunderbolt cable doesn’t support the XDR at 6K for whatever reason. You nailed the length tho.

Have you tried it? I have only seen one user in here that posted about it not working, but didn’t include any follow up or additional info. Curious if you’ve confirmed that as I’ve been considering getting one of these cables.

Spent some time last night moving the mixer over to the right, clearing the area out under the desk. I have that Vivo hanger on order through Amazon and hope to have the Mac suspended from the desk by the weekend.

I don't have the cables re-run, but there we go. It's hanging from the desk, and that desk is at my "stand" height. Damned simple to install: 4 pilot holes, 4 self-tapping screws, and you're done.

Does look a little silly with the feet still attached; I might remove them at some point.

It looks like it is leaning to the left slightly. Is that the angle of the photo or is that actually happening?

Does it feel fairly secure with the weight of the pro?

The desk has a slight sag because it's a massive, single piece of lumber that isn't well-supported in the center (where I sit). That's what you're seeing. The desk manufacturer has "version 2'd" the desk, and the desk surface is now in pieces.

As far as secure: it ain't going anywhere. It's... ON there.

Looks earthquake proof. I approve.
