I downloaded an mp3 file which plays back decently on my PC. Trouble is, when I try to play it on my iPod Nano, it periodically makes an odd hicup type sound.

I'm guessing that the audio file was undersampled, because at the same spot where there's a momentary lapse of sound when being played on my PC, there's a strange hicup on my iPod.

Unfortunately, the audio file is a conversion from an audio book which was only available in tape format years back, so I can't just buy a better quality version.
