My Late 2012 MacBook Pro Retina occasionally slows to a crawl. Just now, there was an app taking 99% of my CPU memory (NetworkBrowserAgent). When trying to investigate what that app was, I came across a thread where users used EtreCheck to evaluate their performance. I got a log with a number of failures, but I have no idea what they are, or how to address them. I closed all applications and restarted and all the failures went away, but I'd like to understand what they were so I can prevent them from appearing in the future, or know what application to address when performance becomes slow. Thanks for your help:

So no one knows the answer to this question, then why do we bother to post the EtreCheck results

Uuderstanding EtreCheck, slow Mac issues

Hi; I'm new to EtreCheck too (as of only about an hour ago!); try the Apple forums. I haven't looked there yet, but I've found a few items so far that might be of help:

Beachball issues, have EtreCheck; anyone offer diagnosis?

Note one replier's analysis of the Virtual RAM stats, i.e. comparing Page-outs to Page-ins. This suggests you have, by comparison, enough RAM (vs free hard drive space?), but there could be other issues. Some more general links:

Why is my computer slow?

Also, do you often get a beachballed mouse pointer when the system is really slow or frozen? There are at least two threads on that in the Mac forums. I'll be checking those out soon for my own use...

Good luck; if/when I find something more specific/helpful, I'll pass it on. :)
