Understanding Tethering settings

Hi Guys,

I'm using firmware 3.0.0, some Quick questions, within my Cellular Data Network, there are "Ceullar Data" settings. Right now, it just says "phone" for APN. What should be in that section? Second, do I just plug in the USB cable to my computer, turn on tethering, and that's it? How does my computer know what to do?

Did you install a tethering hack or IPCC file thru itunes?

All resolved. Used the tethering hack file from the sinful repo. So easy, just plugged into my laptop and tethering is working. I feel so dirty.
