Really amusing :) I had a bookmark in my Bookmarks Menu from some iPod restoration site on how to back up ones iPod music back to the computer. It said "Guide on ..ing up your iPod music" Something along those lines. I have since renamed it to "back up iPod music" :p

what does webkit do?
Powers rendering in OSX, in Safari, Widgets, Shiira etc. You can download later builds of Webkit than the ones Apple provides
The advantage of doing so being what?
Webkit is the underlying open source framework that Safari is built on. It's comprised of two components, WebCore and JavaScriptCore. WebCore in the HTML layout & rendering engine and JavaScriptCore in the engine that compiles and executes Javascript. By downloading the nightly builds of webkit, you can test the very latest improvements to these systems, as well as take advantage of other things being added to the WebKit package prior to a full "release" of a new version of Safari. Two "cool" things released in the last several months.
Builds each night aren't necessarily stable.

Texas, unfortunately.
On our computers at school, we have a program at school for designing pourposes, and when you right click, it brings up a list of acronyms, one of them being ASS (Can't remember what it stands for at the moment, though...)

There's a class I teach called "Music Analysis and Theory." Since we are a school of music, the university computer drops the first word and abbreviates what it can. The end result is "Anal Theory," something I have to deal with for the rest of the semester.

Company I used to work for had a Graduate IT Training Scheme. Those on it were referred to as GITTS.

I work at my university's IT department, so I've seen complaints from students regarding this a few times....user IDs for students are generated by taking their initials, then adding 3 random alphanumeric characters. Obviously, bad things can happen. So if your full name is something like Frank Ulysses Carson, or Steven Harry Irving, you can imagine what your user ID might end up being ;)

Of course, if your parents named you Andrew Scott Sanders, then it's not our problem :D

For quite some time the Georgetown University Nursing School was known as GUNS. Today, the Emergency Response Medical Service is still known as GERMS.

I worked at a university west of the Mississippi, the University of North Texas (UNT). The university radio station had to change their call letters for obvious reasons . . .
