Hi all. I've tried this same thing (twice) on my new unibody 2.8GHz model. I set up a 32GB partition and made it as FAT32. then I went through the regular XP setup. I inserted the grey disc that came with the MBP, and the drivers installed fine. I reboot as I was told to. However, on both times that I tried doing up boot camp, my MBP would then stop recognizing keyboard input and trackpad input. The two were just dead in windows, but were fully functional both in OS X and the boot selection window (by pressing alt/option during boot up, if you have boot camp set up), but simply unresponsive in Windows. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I've never had this problem on my previous MBPs?

try making it ntfs. I'm not really sure. Did you install the bootcamp drivers that are on your leopard disc? Did you get all the windows updates? Hopefully you answered no to one of those and then your problem will be solved. Put the leopard disc in after you install windows and it should install them.

I'm not really gonna risk installing it from my Leopard disc, as my leopard disc is 10.5.0. But I installed the drivers from the grey install disc(s) that came with the unibody mbp. I'll try setting to NTFS. And I couldn't really get to Windows updates in the first place, as the keyboard and mouse were unresponsive.
^ assuming your mac pro has a usb mouse/keyboard, just borrow it from there, update Vista and see if it works.
It does have one. Sadly, I'm out of the country and will only get back to it in 2 weeks time

Right. Now that was weird. FAT32 was the culprit. I formatted as NTFS and it ran fine. Thanks to all who tried to help.

For some reason I've heard that windows likes ntfs even though admittedly I'm not all too sure of the differences lol. When you said fat32 that was the first thing I thought though. Now if you get any freezing in windows, it's probably the nvidia driver that came with bootcamp. Just uninstall those and get 176.54 from http://laptopvideo2go.com get the modded inf file to replace the original and you should be set. Oh and of course any windows updates.

That is weird, but that fixed it for me too!
Had to format ntfs and now all is good.
