The other day I installed Cydia using Rock, but since I found that I really have no use for it... Is it safe to uninstall it from Rock?

Yes. As long as you don't need it. I personally use cydia, and haven't used rock, but whatever works for you should be fine. :)

you should try Rock. does everything Cydia does, but WAY faster. I'm surprised Cydia hasn't just put its tail between its legs, crawled into a hole somewhere, and died now that Rock's around.

oh. i guess the Cydia Store is different from the Cydia Community Sources then? because Rock has the CCS...and the first question in its FAQ says:

Q: Can Rock install everything Cydia installs?

A: Yes - and faster. ;)

Actually they are right. Rock has some proprietary commercial apps, and Cydia has some proprietary commercial apps. Rock has listed some apps but then told me they cannot sell them (yet) and sent me to Cydia.

Rock is working great for me for what they do, and so is Cydia. I keep them both just in case.
