Hi, I'm new to macs so please bear with me. I have downloaded a trial of Parallels and was given a key for a limited amount of days. Time running out and I found a sale on full version at local store...bought it.

Now I want to uninstall the trial on my mac and install the full version. I originally installed Windows XP sp2 on Boot Camp and somehow was able to use that as my VM in Parallels. How do I uninstall trial version of Parallels and will I be able to tell the full version to use my Boot Camp partition as the VM?

Thanks,
edigi

Well, to uninstall it, if I'm not mistaken there is an application in the DMG (disk image file) that you downloaded that is specifically for uninstalling it. Otherwise, just drag and drop the application into the trash.

But that is not necessary. All you need to to do is put the key in that you bought and the program will be fully activated with no time limit. The versions should not matter, but I'm not completely sure on that for I use VM Ware fusion.

So, look for an area where you can enter in a serial number and enter in the one you bought and it should work!

Thanks Markov. I'll probably do just that but was wondering, just in case I ever wanted to, is it possible to remove a VM from the MAC? How do you do it?

Double-click the virtual machine icon. A virtual machine property page will appear. Then go to the "File" menu and select the "Delete.." option.
