How do I uninstall programs in my Mac? I am using the latest of OSX, and I was wondering how it is done? Being a former lifelong Windows user I am use to the contro panel add/remove option but I cannot find its equivalent in Apple? Also, when you uninstall a program will it remove all of its 'components' as well?

Thanks!

Generally, you just drag the app to the trash. Some apps come with an uninstaller programme and you should use that. To get rid of any of the associated files, there is an app called AppZapper that will do this.

If you are extra-picky you can delete the preference files located in ~/Library/Application Support/Preferences/com.myapp.plist.

Cheers
