All of the reviews for Universal Control have been stellar, so I'm trying to figure out why it is going so poorly for me. I have two iPads - a 10.5 inch iPad Pro and a 2nd Gen 12.9 iPad Pro and the Mac that I'm connecting to is a new M1 Max 15" Pro. Universal Control never reconnects automatically when pushing my curser to the left of the screen. When I go into the display settings, both iPads show up for connecting with Sidecar which works flawlessly, but the mouse/keyboard option to manually connect Universal Control doesn't appear.

I can occasionally get it to work by restarting both devices and toggling the setting off and on, but the connection drops after a few minutes and then it again refuses to connect.

Has anyone else been able to solve connectivity issues with this feature?

My base model MacBook Pro 14inch and iPad Pro 2018 12inch also have this issue and I am eager for solution. I have to reboot both devices when I come back from office to home in order to make universal control work again. Sometime even disconnect and reconnect Wi-Fi also cause this issue.

Glad I'm not the only one! Tried the beta of 15.5 and unfortunately not any better.

The only thing I can think of is make sure the devices are really close to one another. But I assume you already know this, so I don't know. UC has worked well for me.

Lucky you guys, I can't even make this "universal" connection work!
Let's hope Apple will fix this soon.

I already replied to your other post about this. Because you’re using the macOS 12.4 beta, you need to be using the iPadOS 15.5 beta for Universal Control to work. MacOS 12.3.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1 are compatible, but the beta versions change something and both need to be updated.
