'Universal' HandBraking won't play on iPhone

I thought the idea of the Universal preset on HandBrake was that it would play on AppleTV and the iPhone.

however, when syncing the iPhone, anything I've imported using Universal is greyed out. I can select it and sync my phone but it won't actually copy across.

Any help appreciated!

You can always just make two copies. One for apple Tv and for iPhone.

Use MPEG-4 Video / AAC Audio (same as MP4). I am actually using Handbrake right now and have used that format for a long time and it works just fine.
