Hey there... I have a PowerBook G3 which I am trying to connect to a Belkin 802.11b unencrypted network at my cousin's house.

Their two other computers (Windows XP: SP1 and SP2) work just fine on the network as does my newer Toshiba laptop with XP SP2.

Anyway, the PowerBook which I am trying to connect here works just fine on my Belkin 54g wireless network at home with 128bit WEP encryption.

I am trying to use a Belkin 54g PC card in the PB which is currently running OS X 10.3. As mentioned, it works great at home but here I get an error message which simply reads: "There was an error joining the network "WLAN". I tried rebooting under OS 9 to see if it works there, but apparently 9 doesn't recognize this type of wireless card.

Another message that I believe I have gotten once said "Airport is currently unable to join your preferred wireless network. Connect to the unsecure network "WLAN"? Now, I just checked and I have it set to automatically connect to networks.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be appreciated.

Well, I will be leaving their house in about 8 hours so hopefully someone can help me out by then. I really hope the "PB G3" isn't what turned people off to viewing this thread   :(
