I tried installing ios5 and keep getting this error. Any help?

Tried upgrading and restoring same message

Forgot to say my device is an iPad 2

I'm getting the same error. Apple's website says:

"Error 3194: Resolve error 3194 by updating to the latest version of iTunes. "This device is not eligible for the requested build" in the updater logs confirms this is the root of the issue. For more Error 3194 steps see: This device is not eligible for the requested build above."

This obvously doesn't help.

Solution!

Clear out your hosts file ("C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\") from any iTunes/Apple redirects, then reboot your system (required). My restore worked perfectly.

what do you mean clear out? I have the following files in the etc folder

hosts
hosts.umbrella
imhosts.sam

Delete all three? then restart windows?

Worked for me. Except now i'm getting an error 3200. :mad:

[Edit]: Did as suggested and deleted all backups and now its updating. Except it says its restoring software... Good thing i backed up by sending the stuff i consider priceless to my other iPod touch. Phew. XD

[Edit 2]: Damn that boot screen where the apple just shines all cool like was... well.. cool! XD

Im also getting error 3200 now. so i have to delete my iPad back ups?

I'm on a mac and I'm getting this.... anyone else having the same problem??? i've updated to the newest version of itunes and all my updates are done for the system.
