Hi,
I have a problem I haven't found an answer to, and I searched all over the web.
I have 5 AirPlay devices I connect to, 3 of them are Airplay2 and 2 of them are just first gen AirPlay.
When I connect to either of the Airplay2 devices, the moment I connect to them a new unknown phantom device appears in the list just named simply AirPlay. This device is non existant, and when I try to select it it automatically switches from of all Airplay2 devices back to my ipad speakers and then this new phantom speaker instantly disappears from the list again.
When I connect to first gen AirPlay devices, no new unknown device appears. So this problem is limited only when I stream to Airplay2 devices.
I noticed this behavior just recently, with one of the iOS 13.* updates. Same behavior is seen across all my ios devices (2 phones, 2 ipads, all different models) with 13.* ios. Only iPhone 6 which is ios 12.4.5 doesn't have this problem, so I am sure this is due to ios 13.*.
I recorded a short video of this behavior to be more clear what is happening:

No, that is not the case. Nobody around for 40 m, and certainly even more with airplay devices.
If that were the case then I would see this device all the time, but I see it specifically when I select one of my Airplay2 speakers. And it goes away once I deselect them (watch the video). And only when I do that from ios13 ipad/iphone, iphone with ios12 never shows it.

I chatted with Apple support on twitter and sent them images. After some messages back and fourth they said it was intended behavior. I still don’t believe it and think it’s a bug

It makes apsolutly no sense this is intended behavior. What would be the point of it? It is confusing to say the least.
And why is this only on ios13 then? IOS 12 does not have this behavior. If it were intended then it would be on all iOS.

Intentions may change between iOS versions. However in this case, the intention is not very clear (what is the purpose of this intended behavior ?).
