iPad running iPadOS 14.14.2. Not jailbroken or hacked in any way. I have an app, which, when not being displayed/used as main app, causes a status bar icon to be displayed constantly. Its a blue oval with a north-pointing white arrow in it. It is not the location icon. I see no explanation for it on Apple's support site. Anybody know what this is?

Thanks. I tapped it and sure enough it took me to the app I knew was causing it. But the actual icon I am showing is not listed in that apple support site. I removed the location permissions from the app and sure enough the icon is now gone, but it seems apple should clarify the difference between the usual arrow icon, and this north pointing icon, as they are two different icons.

That particular icon usually appears when you’re using GPS for navigation, like Maps. Not sure why it isn’t in Apple’s symbol list though, but they should add it. The other arrow that IS in the list, is just an app or feature accessing your location, but it isn’t tied in with actual navigating.
