A few minutes ago, I accidentally told the spellchecker (in mail) to learn a mispelled word. Is there a way to undo this?
Help would be much appreciated!

Look in ~/Library/Spelling. There should be a file called 'en' - open it in TextEdit and remove the offending word, saving the file when done.

When I open the file in TextEdit, it's empty :(
Quit Mail and any other applications that use the Mac OS X spelling service (make sure TextEdit has no other documents open) first. They probably don't write to the file until they quit - that's why you have an empty file.
