My son, hit the dictionary up and you'll hopefully understand that the humor really is all about you and your lack of understanding of the proper usage of certain words.
It looks to me like they didn't use the right tense though. "Unlimited send and receipt of text" should really be "Unlimited sending and receiving of text."
Son number two, (no poopy pun intended) you're wrong! Either use would be fine, but since they didn't use the word "sending," receipt is the correct word to use in their usage instance.

the thing is, they don't read those messages. a lot of times, they will say to not reply to those. they're just mass texts sent out by computers
