I've had an iphone 3G for 2years. For the first 15months, it was used in the UK on the O2 network (not unlocked). Last year moved to Spain... So, unlocked the phone and now use Movistar. All was going well until today. An automatic update took place on the phone. Now, the phone does not recognise the sim card. I've tried the sim in another phone and it works there. And I've tried other sims in the iphone - none of them work (although.. I don't have the original O2, so I can't try that).
Any ideas??? Has the update relocked the phone?? Or is there something else that I need to do??
Thanks for any help.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

OS updates will always relock the phone. You'll need to jailbreak and unlock again.

Its not an automatic update, its an update that you installed thru itunes.
The iphone doesnt update itself.
Every time you're jailbroken and unlocked and update to official firmware you're phone will relock again.
Next time you gotta be more carefull and not install updates without knowing.
All you need to do is run blackrain to jailbreak and then blacksnow to unlock.
Happy New year.

Hummm... automatic update ?

So automatic the OP had to click OK on pop-up box
Click download and install
Sit there for 5-10 minutes while IPSW was downloaded then installed

Very Automatic
