Unlock 3G Help

[Apple Genius]

i has fail in following the instructions on yellowsn0w.net

I HAVE:

• 8GB iPhone 3G
• Version 2.0.2 (5C1) with 2.30.03
• an Airvoice Wireless card (and it works fine in my 1st Gen iPhone.)

WHAT I DID:

• Created iPhone1,2_2.0.2_5C1_Custom_Restore.ipsw with pwnagetool and restored it with iTunes and named my iPhone.
• Installed YellowSn0w and BossPrefs via Cydia (I think). In Packages I have Dev-Team YellowSn0w and other team tools and BigBoss's Source, (but I don't know if that's the right one as there were 5 different ones to choose from)
• Step 2 says to "Disable everything in BossPrefs", but I don't kow what that entails. I tried to turn off Edge, but it would not turn off.
• Rebooted from BossPrefs
• Took out sim and reinserted it. It told me I has new voicemail.
• Waited 1 minute
• Went to Settings and turned off Airplane Mode and tured it back on. and it made he "Tri-tone" sound. and that's it.

You posted it yourself, you have 2.30.03 baseband, yellowsn0w cannot unlock this.

As a side note, and apologies for any snarkiness, but the pink text is tough to read and hurts the eyes a bit.

You posted it yourself, you have 2.30.03 baseband, yellowsn0w cannot unlock this.

As a side note, and apologies for any snarkiness, but the pink text is tough to read and hurts the eyes a bit.

just open cydia and click changes, scroll until you find 3G Baseband Downgrade (if you dont find it then search and type in: 3G Baseband Downgrade), with this you will be able to unlock your 3g with 2.30.03 BB, but make sure that your using bootloader v5.8.
