Before I start, I want you to know that I'm not one of those that posts and rants daily about there not being an unlock yet for 3.1.3 firmware. I realize that the people that develop the unlocks and jailbreaks are WONDERFUL people because I don't have the knowledge to do it on my own. Now that I got that out, I can ask my question. Do we know if anyone is actually working on an unlock for the 3.1.3 firmware? I bought a used 3Gs from someone I know but I'm on T-Mobile right now. I'm willing to hang on to it for a while if someone is working on an unlock, but if no one is working on one I will just sale it. Thanks for your help.

As far as I know, nobody is currently working on a baseband unlock for 05.12.01. A promising looking weakness in the baseband has been discovered, but it's too early even to tell if it is exploitable. Moreover, the Dev Team may decide to hold on to it even if it is exploitable in hopes that it will still work on the next release. It's just not possible to know at this point.
