Hi! All,

Does anyone know if its possible to unlock iPhone 3GS with out Jail breaking?

I'll be traveling outside the US (EUR & ASIA). I want to be able to use my 3GS on the GSM networks with local numbers instead of paying a bunch of money to AT&T.

Thanks in advance.

No I dont think there is such way. The unlock is available through cydia which is installed when a phone gets jailbroken.

nope

for the 10000 plus time you Jailbreak then you unlock! only way around it is to buy a phone that is never been locked to a carrier! such as one from Australia. and above 3.1 there is no unlock at the moment. Only other option is try to contact AT&T explain to them see if they can help you. also a cheap idea if you don't want to JB take iphone use it as a touch and get a pay as you go phone while in Europe.
