Hi,

I just wondered if there is any way to unlock an iphone 5c via software ? Can I jailbreak it and then unlock it ?

I just bought an unlock off eBay for a reasonable charge. Only cost me £10.99. Went fine. Same trader doesn't appear to be listing unlock services though so can't recommend them currently.

Hi,

Lots of different problems with that.

1. Is your iPhone current on iOS? If so, there is no jailbreak. If you're on anything higher than iOS 9.0.2 then, again, no jailbreak.
2. The iPhone 5c is a 32-bit device. The last jailbreak for a 32-bit device was for iOS 9.0.2.
3. There's Yalu if you're on anything higher than 9.0.2 but it's complicated.
4. And this is the big one. There is NO SOFTWARE UNLOCK.

The LAST software unlock is circa 2011. So, even if you CAN get your device jailbroken you won't be able to unlock it this way. They don't do this anymore. There is no reason to. Most carriers unlock for free now if you meet their terms and buying a third party unlock is big business.

Sorry. Ask for or buy your unlock. There is no other way.
