unlock and jailbreak 3g iphone

I have 16gb 3g iphone, firmware 2.2.1 and using gebey unlock sim card. I want to upgrade to firmware 3.0 (unlock and jailbroken). I don't want to use the gebey unlock sim card. I just want to use the carrier's sim card. How can I accomplish this and what application do I need?

I chose to JB with Pwanage tool 3.0 and works fine!

Follow these steps:

1. Backup the phone, get rid of the gevey SIM

2. Put it into DFU mode and let iTunes update to 3.0: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofpinyGlQ8I

3. Run RedSn0w: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=4301 (Windows) or http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=4303 (Mac)

4. Run UltraSn0w: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=4253

5. Restore from backup

You're done.
