Unlock Watch with Iphone not working

Hey guys, ever since I updated to watch OS 11, this feature has not been working. Ie. if the watch is on my wrist and my iphone is unlocked, it is supposed to unlock my watch automatically. Any clue on what is going on ?

Have you rebooted the devices? Turned the setting off and back on again?

Go back to Settings → Face ID & Passcode then scroll down to the “Unlock with Apple Watch” section and verify the toggle is enabled next to the name of your Watch.
