Hi guys, newbie here looking for some help.
I am in the uk and have an unlocked 1.1.2 8gb iphone unlocked to 1.1.1 fw to use orange uk sim which is constantly locking up or freezing and causing me all kinds of grief. I have been advised by one of your members I work with that I can reset the phone back to original specs then jailbreak it so it's unlocked again then put some third party apps on it.
I have plugged it into my pc and opened my itunes which I use for my 30gb gen5 ipod but I get the message that I must download the latest 2.2 fw itunes for iphone which will wipe the phone and I am afraid it will brick it or lock the phone.
Could I get some advise on which way I should proceed and which software and apps I should use.
Many thanks

This can't happen.

Use WinPwn.

Thanks for the quick reply, should I update the phone and unlock it in winpwn or update with itunes then winpwn it? Is winpwn freely available and from where?
Sorry for the many q's.

Many thanks.

Right, very useful sofware but I now have a 2.2 fw iphone which has been pwn'd but to unlock it it suggests I must have the 3.9 and 4.6 bootloaders where do I find these.
Sorry to be a PITA but I need this phone up and running. Any help is most appreciated.

Unfortunately, you have to search for them. :)

Thanks for the help everyone, now sorted. Running nicely. Just to personalise it a little.
