unlocked and Jailbroken iPhone Restore

I just bought a used iPhone. I have it on the new telus network here in canada. I want to put all my apps from my mac on there but the computer wants me to delete all the ones on there. For me I could care less whats on there but it has blackrain for unlocking. Can i delete all apps and still have it be unlocked or will have to get re unlocked. I would like to have paid apps and not the jail broken stuff.

Then you should restore the phone in iTunes and set it up as new. You can then jailbreak it simply with blackra1n, and unlock the phone with blacksn0w. After that you can easily sync over all your music and applications to the phone.

Is it easy to unlock and jailbreak though. I technologically inclined but where do I start?

I could be wrong. But would setting it up as a new phone restore it???
If not, then you could set it up as a new phone and put on the apps you want.
The fact that it is unlocked isn't an app.

What I mean is that blackra1n isn't something that is on your phone. It is just something that happened to your phone.
