For the ones who ordered no sim unlocked phones

1. do you pop the SIM card from your current phone to the new phone or do you get a new Sim from your provider?

I heard we need to get new Sim frequently so it has newer features. Is this true?

2. even though I like the no sim unlock feature, I’m kinda paranoid thinking I will have to open the sim tray and “break the seal” of the tray. Anyone else thinks like this?

I called my carrier ATT and asked them about a new SIM a card. They said I didn’t need one. I’m in NH with not much access to 5G so that wasn’t an issue for me. I having been swapping SIMS for the last few phones with no issues.

1. Yes
2. Depends. When I got the 12 Pro, I inserted the Sim from my 11 Pro Max. After I inserted, I got a text message from Verizon that if I wanted to have full features for 5G I needed a SIM card that said 5G. Also I could not send MMS or take pictures within the message app (my friend uses Samsung). So I ordered a new SIM card that said 5G and went to my Verizon account and activated the new SIM card over.

You would be fine with your current SIM card you have.

I want the 5G feature, I’d have to get a new sim then.

ATT said you can use your old sim, you just need to call them and have them provision it for 5G.
