Hi all, I received a unlocked/jailbroke 1.1.4v iphone from a friend as a gift.

I currently own a AT&T blackjack with a dataplan/voice plan. It is not however a 'iphone' dataplan/voice plan.

Can I use my current SIM card in the unlocked iPhone? Is there any issues with this?

avoid data charges

Can you adjust your iphone to just voice and Wifi. No other data?
(So you don't get any data charges... Note: I am note sure if the Visual Voicemail is a data charge...)

You won't get visual voicemail unless you are on an iPhone plan.

If you get free data on your blackberry plan and its just connected using the AT&T network settings then it won't make any difference what phone you put your SIM in - however it may be worth calling them and saying your blackberry is damaged and you have put the SIM in another phone whilst it is being repaired (not an iPhone) and wanted to check if you would be charged for Data - it can't hurt to be sure.

If you do not get free data then you want to turn off you EDGE access so you don't get a huge bill...

The easiest way to do this is using Installer and find Boss Prefs in the utilities section as this lets you turn on/off EDGE access independent of normal phone and Wi-Fi access.

If you don't have installer then use iLiberty to install it! and make sure you have community sources updated to get boss prefs.
