Other Unlocked to iUP ?

Hi all

So I bought an XS on iPhone upgrade program at 3am but now having second thoughts. There was an XS Max available for launch day pickup (unlocked sim free) randomly so I’ve also bought that. My question is: has anyone ever been able to return the iPhone upgrade program phone and switch the unlocked phone to the iPhone upgrade program? That’s what I’m hoping to do if I like the Max more. Thanks!

Last year, I bought the X unlocked at full price. I came back to the Apple Store within 14 days to see if they'd put it on the IUP, and they issued a return for the original purchase and resold it to me on the IUP. It was an easy transaction.

You would still have to be on one of the 4 major carriers, right?

Yes. They only offer AUP with those carriers.
