i unlocked my previously jailbroken 1.1.2 OTB UK iphone (which uses an o2 pay and go sim) the other day with the iclarified thing on installer. and yesterday i tried a couple of virgin mobile sim cards which worked fine. but each time i put my o2 pay and go card back in, i got notifications that my balance was down by 10p. about three lots of 10p every time.

i called o2 today and they made me put a virgin sim in and then the o2 sim. they saw that my phone sent three text messages (there is no record of them on my phone).

we guessed that it was the iphone reconnecting to the o2 network, but the o2 rep said she hadn't heard of any phone doing this. does anyone know what these texts are?

ta.

I think its time to start the conspiracy theories.

Hello there,

sorry for resuscitating an old post, but I've got the same problem described by sananda. My brand new iPhone, upgrated to 1.1.4 and Ziphoned, "calls home" every time I put my O2 Pay & Go SIM into it. I got a notification with my credit, and evey boot costs me 10p...

To sananda: did you solve this issue? If yes can you please help me?
Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
iPhowner

Well...thank you anyway for your quick response.
I'll post a message here if I'll find a solution to this problem.

Bye ;)
