Can you preorder the iPhone XS MAX unlocked? Or can you preorder via ATT full price and have ATT unlock it? Or is there some sort of wait or restricting to have the new iPhone XS MAX unlocked?

Cool, just got the sim-free, should be here next Friday. So all I have to do is simply take my ATT SIM out of my current iPhone and pop it into the iPhone XS MAX? I don't need to contact ATT or anything?

Correct. And what you do is swap the SIM card before you turn the new phone on or you’ll get hit with an activation fee. A couple of members just let me know this little trick on another post.
