Hi,

I have had a read through some of the very useful tutorials and still am a little unsure. I want to unlock my O2 activated iPhone so that I can sell it as unlocked on ebay, personally I have no use for it unlocked as I am an iPhone O2 customer.

What tool is best to do this? Also, when you unlock the iPhone do you have to remove the O2 SIM card? I do not want to jailbreak the phone or anything like that I jst want it to be unlocked so as to work on other networks.

Thanks for replies, sorry if these questions are in the stickies, but I am unsure as to what I need to do! :(

You have to jailbreak to unlock. You do not have to stop using your SIM.

Ok thanks, I wondered why all the apps asked to jailbreak and unlock not just jailbreak.

Does this mean I will have bootloader 4.6 as my iPhone is about 4 days old with 1.1.4 installed?!

Thanks

NO! Bad idea. AVOID ZiPhone. It causes damage to your Wi-Fi by putting in a hardcoded MAC address, which is the same for every phone.

Also, causes severe errors! AVIOD it! Check my signature for tutorials and information on WinPwn or Pwnage which are by far safer and better coded.

Great stuff thanks!! I didn't see any info on how bad ziphone is, what does harcoding mean? So I guess I would have to uninstall ziphone and install pwnage or winpwn? I consider myself to be mostly well informed, I'm kind of shamed to have missed how bad ziphone is. :p
