Unlocking iphone for resale and transition to 16GB Model

So I sold my 8gb version on ebay and will be unlocking it using ziphone for the buyer and shipping it off tomorrow or tuesday. Meanwhile I'm waiting for apple to stock the 16GB in the stores (locally in CA they are out). Once I unlock it w/ my SIM card installed and then test it out with a TMO sim that I have and it works, should I then be able to take the ATT SIM card out and wait to get the 16GB version and install it in that?

Figure the ATT sim won't be in use for about a week as I transition phones but didn't want the unlocked 8GB version i have to be useless for the new buyer.

Are they really out in Cali?
I remember when people though iphones would be sold out on luanch day lol.
Turns out apple was well prepared unlike nintendo!! more than a year and still sold out.

I know this is very obvious but may I suggest that you tell the person who purchases his iPhone has absolutely no warranty whatsoever as it is Jailbroken... Just a suggestion as I would not sell anything that was an illegitimate variation of the original product.

look on ebay for unlocked iphones
hundreds of them, and they all sell. i think people will take a chance!

When you bought your iphone (hopefully in the uk) did you have to get a contract straight away? I have a friend coming over from the UK and i'm hoping she can just buy an iPhone (as a gift) without a contract and bring it over to me to be unlocked.

Although i might wait until 2.0 is unlocked.
