Hello, I just wanted to let the community know that by swapping your sims from on-contract line to contract-free line didn't get my iPhone unlocked. They were still giving me i have to wait until my contract is over. I was wondering if it has to do with which line does the phone get activated on, because I recently had my iPhone repaired and the only thing apple did was activate on my on-contract line over the wifi. What do you guys think? I'm going to try it for sure. My contract doesn't end until december! I hope for the best! I will post back with the results!

PS: The carrier I'm talking about is AT&T

AT&T is that stupid, but Apple is not.

True, because I just got ATT to unlock my iPhone 4 which I have not had for 2-years yet, unless they have decided to unlock iPhones that are within ~6 months of their contract. In any case, I feel lucky:)

I don't think they hold you to the exact day. As long as you're roughly 2 years its a good idea to call and try.

Well guys I tried my trick and no luck. AT&T just won't go no where with my iPhone. They keep saying I got to wait until December! :/ I don't know how they are getting there info...any other ideas? I guess it's time to wait...ugh.

By the way, Kayan how did you get AT&T to unlock your iPhone?
