Unlocking old iphone for a friend...

I'm giving my 2g iphone to a friend to use on tmobile. I had ATT on it so I'm new to hacking. I was planning on using iLiberty. Can I do all of this on my computer and then give it to her? What will happen when she plugs the new unlocked phone into her computer? Will her iTunes mess things up? Also I have been reading about this Tzone hack. Is that the best option for allowing her to use internet on the phone? She has a Razr on tmobile without any sort of internet package currently. Sincere thanks for any help you can offer!

just wait a couple days and then use the new pwnage tool from the iphone dev team because then you´ll have 2.0 (you when it will be out when you visit macrumors regularly) it would be better if you do it on her computer, or at least update the modified firmware thru her itunes... as soon as the tool comes out there will be step by spet tutorials

yeah, i agree. just wait for the 2.0 hack. it's coming out soon. i've been trying for days to unlock the old iPhone and nothing works. so i've updated it to the 2.0 firmware, and now i'm waiting for the hack. i have a sidekick lx, so i can wait a little while longer
