Hi,

i need to unlock my iphone 2g 8gb , i have at&t simcard from my other phone.

I came to know about unlocking procedure using redsnow, i have a questions before starting the procedure. Should i start inserting my other at&t sim card in it or by removing it ?

Redsnow is not for the 2G. Just download QuickPwn and let it do it for you. You'll ruin it otherwise.
