Today i'm going to buy my new iPhone3GS and wanna give my 1st generation iPhone to my girlfriend. As i've got an official contract wirh t-mobile germany, my iPhone is locked.
So i'm going to unlock it for my girlfriend, but i also want her to be able to use the new push feature. If i hacktivate my iPhone, it won't work, i guess.

So here is my plan:

1. Restore my iPhone

2. Activate it

3. Jailbreak my iPhone via redsn0w

4. Unlock my iPhone via bootneuter

5. Reset Network Setting

6. Insert my girlfriend's sim card

This way, she should also be able to use push. Do you think it'll work?

Yes. However, to see the "Notifications" setting in the settings menu, you must have an app that supports push.
