i saw UNO™ today on the app store. i was waiting on this for a while and now it finally came out. it somewhat resembles the xbox live arcade version if you ever played that. the game has single player, multiplayer with one iphone/ipod, with multiple iphones/ipods close by, and with multiple iphones/ipods all over the world. the price is $7.99. it's pretty good if you like UNO

here's a link: UNO™

That is very true! I am waiting/hoping for a price drop in a month or so. If it falls under 4.99 I will think about it, but until then I will keep my money.

$8 is a little much for a game I'd probably play a few times and be done. Crash was worth $10, but I only paid $5. I think Uno is way over priced.

I can't even remember how to play Uno after (counts on fingers - then toes - then eggs) 22 years!

Wow. I'm old. :(

Uno was a fun game and would probably be cool on my Touch, but $7.99 is way too steep for what it is. Hopefully they'll have slow sales and lower the price soon. Don't give in people! Lol

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)

There is also Yahzee. I really like both UNO and Yahzee for the iPhone because they allow you to play with rulesets that I haven't ever played before. Did you know that you can battle in Yahzee?

Also, "adventure" mode in the Yahzee game is really weird.

I haven't tried the official Yahtzee, but I am a fan of fivedice. I wonder which is better.

This might be quite awesome if I knew more people with iPhones (I know 1). Looks neat, but not at $8. That's a problem most card games probably have on this platform.

Has quite a few bugs .... sometimes the AI players will just hang forcing a restart of the game

There's a Yahtzee clone for the Palm that uses seven, 8-sided dice. Now that was fun! :D

Uno is sweet on the iPhone. My friends and I play one another on our iPhones from our homes.

Another one to try is Price is Right.

in the wifi multiplayer mode, how does the game handle two players? Does it fill in with some AI players or you end up playing with just the two of you?

In Texas Hold'em, I was looking forward to the wifi multiplayer mode but was dissapointed because when there are only two players (or less than a table full) and the game doesn't provide more players to fill in. It end up being pretty boring.

$8 is too much for an iPhone App game like Uno. Till they lower their price, I'm not planning on getting it too.

You create a room on one iphone then other players join the room ... up to 4 players but you can also optionally add AI players into the spare slots if its just 2 human players.

It only allows you to play a single game at a time which is annoying as you have to recreate the game after a single round ....
