I unpaired my AirPods from my iPhone 8 (through forget my device in the bluetooth setting), the AirPods does not seem to unpair with my MacBook Pro that are signed in with the same Apple ID. I thought unpairing an Airpods will automatically unpair it with all devices that uses the same Apple ID. Plus, the AirPods still show up in the "Find my Phone" app on iPhone and on iCloud.com.

Should AirPods unpair from all device linked to the same Apple ID once it is unpaired from my iPhone?

No you have to to it for all the devices they are paired to.

Thanks! Yes, it seems that unpairing it from the iPhone does not automatically remove it from the paired bluetooth device on the Mac that are signed in to the same iCloud account. The AirPods will still connect to the Mac and I have to manually unpair it from the Mac.

But unpair from iPhone stopped the location of the Airpods to be updated on the Find My iPhone app. You can still see the AirPods on the list of device. Even when the AirPods is connected to the Mac, its location is not updated on the Find My iPhone either. Obviously, I can remove it from the Find My Phone list and it then disappear from there.
