Unrequested Apps with update.

My wife updated her iPhone8 and after doing so, the App icons shows in a red circle the number 33. Tapping on the App icon, it appears that all these apps are now available. Any one know how to get rid of this option?

It’s a Notification.
To turn off the red badge on the App Store app, go to:
Settings > Notifications > App Store.
Then turn off Badges or turn off notifications entirely.
