I have been having major touchpad and keyboard issues with my 2015 Macbook Pro.
Right now, the keyboard will only respond to a few keys: caps lock, return, esc, and the power button. When I try to use the spacebar, the USA keyboard in the corner blinks erratically. Before the keyboard stopped working, random finder windows and applications would launch when I pressed certain keys. My bluetooth Logitech K750 keyboard mimics the same responsive/unresponsive behavior.
However, the keyboard does work when I am in recovery mode. I was able to use First Aid in recovery mode but the issue still persists when I arrive to login.
The trackpad is also unresponsive and locks when I try to click on things or to scroll with the cursor.
I let it rest for an entire week and afterwards it allowed be to log back in and both the keyboard and trackpad worked again but that only lasted 2 days.
I am a first time mac owner. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can make sure that this never happens again? Should I reinstall MacOS?
Thanks!
