Hi!

I'm running a Macbook Pro mid-2012 and MacOS Sierra 10.12.5. My wifi connection is pretty bad. It's unstable, it's slow. To get it better I have to disable wifi and re-enable it which sometimes makes it a bit better for some time. On the other hand the same wifi works very well on my iPhone and when using ethernet cable with my Macbook.
I've already tried those tips from http://osxdaily.com/2016/09/22/fix-wi-fi-problems-macos-sierra/

Any ideas why my Macbook's wifi sucks and how to fix this?

Thanks.

Try booting into safe mode and see if the WiFi is still unstable.

Try connectiing the mac to the router. The router address and password are probably on a label on the bottom.
Look for wireless settings and chsnge the channel. It is probably set on six, try 13.
Refer to the router insructions if this does not make sense.

How does this help if another device using the same wifi works without any problem?

Same problem in safe mode.

If you are willing I have another suggestion to try help you diagnose the issue. On your internal hard drive, create a new partition. On the new partition install a clean copy of 10.12.5 to the new partition. Boot to the new partition, don't reinstall anything, leave it clean. Setup the WiFi and see if you experience the same WiFi issues. If you don't then the issue is the install on the other partition and a clean install is what is needed.
