So I see that Photos will import my Sony A99 II RAW files, but in Aperture they are an unsupported format, not surprisingly.
The question is can you hack Aperture into accepting them or is there a hack that can be applied to the System. macOS Sierra 10.12.4

This may be of no help to you at all, but...

Might it be possible to use some 3rd-party utility to convert the RAW files into a different but UNcompressed format that Aperture could then read? TIFF? Not even sure if this is possible.

BTW, how do you like the new A99 II ?

Yes using Adobe DNG converter will convert them and you can then import to Aperture, or have them import to Photos and then export as 16bit tiffs, and then import to Aperture.

I was just wondering if there was a way to hack the System to allow Aperture to accept newer raw files/cameras.
