Untethered 3GS after jailbreak?

I have 3GS Serial number 830020XXXXX os 3.1.2 firmware 05.11.07 jailbroken with blackra1n and unlocked.
1.Can I modiy bootrom or iboot to avoid future tethered reboots? If so how?
2.How can I confirm my files backedup to Cydiia?
3. In a jam couldnt i download itunes and blackra1n to any computer for tethered reboot?

If only it were this easy...

If your phone is tethered, it will stay that way until somebody finds and uses another exploit. There's nothing you can do to change it.

As far as the Cydia question, if you have your SHSH files stored on Saurik's server it will say so on the top of the home page of Cydia.

At the top of Cydia it says "This device has a pendingg TSS request" Can I request again? If so how?

Nope, it will stay pending for a while and then it will get it thru.
