Big fan of the forums. First time I have had any issues worth posting...

I've noticed my iPhone 4 attempting to sync to my iTunes without it being attached to a charger. Also iTunes is automatically opening by itself to facilitate this sync...or vice versa, not entirely sure. On average iTunes is opening about every 5 minutes, even after closing.

Anyone know what is causing this? I was under the impression it only would sync when plugged in and charging over wifi?

Much appreciated!

iTunes must remain open for it to backup and sync. Just leave it open and minimized. It should automatically sync when plugged in but I've seen at times it'll sync when not. It syncs in the background so just let it do it's thing.

Thanks! Just have never seen iTunes open by itself before when the phone isn't tethered.
