I posted previously in the Studio Display because I thought that had something to do with my issue.
Long story short - Since switching from a 2015 27" iMac to the Studio Mac and Studio Display my color printing is way off. Everything is cloudy looking, the skies are dull, and shadows are printing purple etc. I went the whole route of uninstalling the printer, reinstalling the printer, downloading ICC Profiles, etc. As far as I can now tell the problem is with air print. Unfortunately my Canon inkjet (TS 6300) only connects via air print. This seems to be the case with a lot of printers now. I am not sure why it was OK with the 27" and not the Mac Studio. I any event I will now be looking for a new printer that does not require air print. I am open to recommendations if anybody has one. I have posted a link to the article if anyone else is having issues.

I read your other longer thread about your issues with a Canon printer, but just to give you a heads up,I have a new canon G 7020 air print (No Canon drivers) printer with my Mac Studio Max w/ the Studio Display and everything is working very well. I’m only using 4 x 6 prints right now, but the colors are very good. Sorry for your issues.

both the canon pro-100 and pro-200 have proper canon drivers for 12.x

prior to covid and the supply chain issues, canon was practically giving away the pro-100's
for the price of the paper. now, looks like both models are in the $600 ball-park.

both are very large and heavy but create fantastic prints.

I am puzzled by this whole thing. My fear is that I invest in another printer only to have the same issue. After all the uninstalling and reinstalling and using ICC profiles I feel like I have exhausted my possibilities with my current setup. Glad you are Ok with the printing Are you printing out Lightroom? Just curious.

just out of curiosity, during the printer setup of the TS6300, are there choices available other than AirPrint and Secure AirPrint?

Air Print has been the culprit with Macs and fine printing for years. Download the proper drivers from the Canon site and install them.

Have you tried printing from iPhone or iPad (which are also AirPrint)? Do you get same results?

Probably you have already tried this: right click on the list of printers, and "Reset printing system..."

I found an old printer cable and hooked it up. The USB option then appeared in my selection , but even when I select it my printer still says air print. I downloaded and installed drivers from the website. They are for the TS 6320, but are in the same series. The only options, even when I hook up by cable, are Bonjour Multifunction and USB. Does not matter which one I select my printer is stil connecting via air print.

I spent over an hour on the phone with Apple Support this afternoon and I think I have my problem fixed. The technician was very patient and waited while I printed out a few shots to test things. Basically after looking at a few issues she asked me to go into SAFE Mode, delete my printer, and rebuild it. We did this a few times checking each time for different options. A glitch on her end of the line prevented screen sharing which slowed us a little. After rebuilding things I printed few test prints and things look much better. I still have to reconstruct my profiles and reenter some settings, but whatever SAFE mode did seems to have corrected the issue. Her theory is that in the process of transferring the information from my old 27" to this machine some things may not have transferred correctly or gotten somehow corrupt. IF this does not work she suggested reinstalling Monterey. I hope this is the end of this adventure. Now I need to clean up the 60-70 prints I have lying around in piles on my desk and floor.

Many thanks to those who chimed in with advice and experience. It is appreciated.

I know it must be air print secure and on several videos its recommended to untick Secure Airprint but i dont have those selecton on the dropdown menu, all i have is Auto Select and Select Software. Printing via Iphone works
