Good morning all,
I have an error that is driving me crazy.
I installed since its release Big Sur (11.0) then 1 week later I received the announcement of the update of Big Sur (11.1).
But here the joy is short lived. There is always an error message telling me that I must have an internet connection at the end and the update starts again from the beginning. This is driving me crazy because I have a good internet connection and the download is complete.
Update 11.1 is still here and obsessing me.
Thank you in advance for any information
Have a good day

Are you attempting the update from a normal boot state or through recovery mode (command+R)? In recovery mode, you have to turn on wifi from the drop-down menu.

How to enter Internet Recovery Mode
  1. In the Apple menu, choose Restart or power on your Mac.
  2. As the computer restarts, hold down the Command – Option – R combination immediately upon hearing the startup chime. ...
  3. In the next step, a Wi-Fi menu appears.

Thank you, I never thought of going into recovery mode.
Is it possible to keep LAN for the internet?
Thank you very much I will try this tonight!
